Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish model and actress. Following her small debut part as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character - in A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985) and then went on to perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte in Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was approached by a photographer who asked her to take on the role of model. Doody then began to build an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody was adamantly against glamour and sexually explicit work. This was a policy she extended to her acting profession. Having come to the attention of the casting director of a new James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody made an appearance on John Willis Screen World Volume 2, as one 12 promising actors to be cast in 1986. 38. Still only 18 when she appeared in the character Doody was and is the youngest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she portrayed IRA members Siobhan Doovan. Doody was seen as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 TV adaptation from The Secret Garden. She played Lilias. Doody was Sapsorrow in the Jim Henson's fantasy series The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took possibly her most famous role ever in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody has acted alongside three actors who have portrayed James Bond. Doody costarred with Jonathan Pryce, in the British mini-series Selling Hitler.
